Mahan Needs Your Prayers!
At Mission India, prayer is at the heart of everything we do. God’s word tells us that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16). We truly believe in the power of prayer, and we see God working through the prayers of people like you every day. That’s why we invite our partners to join us in prayer through our daily or monthly email prompts, called the India Intercessor.
Last November, our India Intercessors prayed for Mahan, a Children’s Bible Club member who was struggling with asthma. We’ve received an update from our partners in India, and Mahan still needs your prayers.
Mahan is only five years old and suffers from ongoing breathing difficulties. He struggles to eat, drink, or sleep, and often can’t keep food down due to coughing fits. But there is hope! Sarban, Mahan’s Bible Club leader, has guided his parents to a doctor who is helping Mahan, and he’s educated them on how to identify and protect against things that trigger his asthma, such as weather changes and specific foods.
Despite his difficult circumstances, Mahan has a precious childlike faith. He prays for healing and finds joy in singing songs and reciting Bible verses. Sarban regularly prays with Mahan, helping to strengthen his belief that he will one day overcome his asthma.
Will you join us in praying for Mahan’s healing? Please pray that his symptoms would subside and that his doctor finds an effective treatment. Most importantly, pray that God completely restores Mahan’s lungs!
