Sanesh Finds One True God

Sanesh’s family followed the religious practices of their culture, which included worshipping idols. He and his wife, Leenata, and their two daughters live with Sanesh’s mother and younger brother. Sanesh works as a security guard while his wife helps to manage the home.

If you saw Sanesh, he appeared to be happy, but inside, he was quite troubled and had no peace. He faced many problems in life that he didn’t know how to solve; and so, Sanesh visited various temples and witch doctors for answers, but nothing ever changed.

One witch doctor told Sanesh that he suffered from demonic oppression, which frightened him. Then, to make matters worse, Leenata fell ill, but none of the doctors could not figure out what was wrong with her despite many tests. Without a diagnosis, they had no idea how to treat her.

With seemingly endless trials mounting, Sanesh’s family wept before their idols and begged them for help. Seeking help from the gods cost them large sums of money, putting Sanesh in debt. Finally, when Sanesh was ready to give up all hope, he met Rimi, a Mission India Church Planter. Rimi shared the Good News of the Gospel with Sanesh, including her testimony about how God had changed her life when she was healed of leprosy!

Rimi’s story gave Sanesh hope in Jesus, and he began to pray to Him. Slowly, things started moving in a positive direction. The family began attending a local church where members there prayed for Sanesh and Leenata, and God responded! Leenata was healed in the name of Jesus!

Sanesh and his family now know that Jesus is the one true God. Not only were their physical ailments healed, but God filled them with peace. When the family’s relatives mocked them for believing in Jesus and attending church, Sanesh and Leenata stood firm in their faith and told them that no other gods could heal except Jesus. Today, Sanesh boldly professes his love for Jesus and tells everyone that Jesus is the one and only Savior. Some of his relatives have distanced themselves from Sanesh’s family, but they are standing firm in the truth and power of Jesus.

Sanesh and his family are happily serving Jesus and worship regularly in their church as they grow in their knowledge of the Bible. The family prays and studies the Word together every day. Sanesh loves the verse from Isaiah 53:5, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, and the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
