Dear Friends,
In John 10:10, Jesus says, “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus came not only so we would know the truth of the Gospel, but also so that we might have full and vibrant lives here on earth. Jesus demonstrated this in His actions! He taught people how to honor God, but He also healed the sick, changing people’s earthly circumstances for the better.
This is what we desire for people in India. Not only do we want them to have the assurance of spending eternity with Jesus; we want them to have a full life here and now.
For example, Adult Literacy students learn how to start their own businesses to gain financial stability. In Year-Long Children’s Bible Clubs, boys and girls receive help with their homework, which leads to their grades improving in school.
In both of these programs, health training teaches participants how to take good care of themselves by forming good habits like brushing their teeth, bathing regularly, and wearing clean clothes. The results are incredible! Families start to maintain cleaner homes and experience fewer cases of illness.
I’m so excited about the ways we’re able to both proclaim and demonstrate the Gospel in India. Here’s how you can pray over these incredible opportunities:
- Praise God for how He is changing people’s everyday lives for the better!
- Pray that many families are freed from poverty through our programs’ holistic approach.
- Pray for life to the full for each person our ministry partners reach!
