Friends,

Have you ever noticed that most people can still recall the name of their favorite teacher or coach? Even the people I love who have been out of grade school for a long time can remember exactly who showed them love and care at such a pivotal time in their lives. For me, it was a basketball coach. For others, it may have been a science teacher or a music teacher.

As we prepare to launch a new season of Year-Long Children’s Bible Clubs and Adult Literacy Classes this fall, I want to pause and celebrate the program leaders involved.

Just like our favorite teachers and coaches from our childhoods, these incredible Indian believers are preparing to make an impact beyond themselves.

This summer, the new leaders have been learning the curriculum, practicing the Christ-centered action songs, and exploring the resources that people like you have provided them to create a fun, loving environment where Jesus’ name is lifted high.

Over the next few weeks, I invite you to join me in praying for our Year-Long Bible Club leaders and Adult Literacy teachers as they get ready to launch their ministry:

• Pray for boldness and joy in proclaiming the Gospel.
• Pray for protection from persecution as they reach those who need to hear about Him most.
• Pray for the Holy Spirit to speak through them with life and hope.
• Pray for clarity as they teach both academic and spiritual lessons.

What a blessing these leaders will be to a brand-new group of students and children this fall.
