November 2024 India Intercessor

Dear Friends,

If you’ve been around the church for any length of time, you’ve likely heard the story of Jesus feeding the 5,000. This has become one of my favorite passages, but not just because of the miracle Jesus performs.

In John 6:9, after the disciples wondered where to get food for the 5,000, Andrew spoke up and said, “Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?” This is the part that is so profound to me. A little boy had enough faith in Jesus to give up his own lunch and believe that Jesus could feed everyone in the crowd—and thousands were impacted by this one child’s actions.

I believe God still works miracles through children today. At Mission India, we place a large focus on reaching children with the Gospel because they become a great means of reaching people who would never listen to a pastor or missionary. These children go into their own homes purely sharing the excitement of what they’ve learned in a Children’s Bible Club—reaching their whole family.

That’s why I’m so excited that some passionate families connected to Mission India have offered to match $1 million dollars toward 10-Day Children’s Bible Clubs during the Christmas season. Normally, $1 sends 1 child to a 10-Day Bible Club (which is already incredible), but starting on November 12 through the end of the year, each $1 given will reach 2 children with the Gospel. If we meet our matching challenge, that means that 2 million more children in India will hear the name of Jesus! Imagine the impact that will be made throughout India by these boys and girls.

Your prayers move God’s heart, and that’s why I’d like to ask you to join me in praying over the match and the children who will be reached as a result. May entire families come to know Christ through this challenge!

Together, for India,

Todd VanEk
