How to Find Your Purpose

Do you know your purpose or how to find it? That may seem like a weighty question. But when we look at Scripture, purpose can be simplified to two actions: be and go. Be loved by Jesus as you love Him and abide with Him; then go share His love with others, however you can, wherever you can.
After Arini met Jesus, she wasted no time in doing just that.
Arini grew up in a family that worshipped many gods and goddesses, but it never felt right to her. She especially questioned their practices when Arini’s mother injured her leg. They performed rituals, visited priests, and saw local healers, but none of it helped. Not even the doctors had much advice or hope to offer.
One day, after yet another disappointing doctor’s visit, Arini and her family crossed paths with a Christian man who shared about the power and love of Jesus and gave them a booklet explaining the Gospel. At home later that night, Arini and her family prayed for Jesus to heal Arini’s mother. The next morning, she awoke and was able to move her leg without pain!
After this, Arini shares, “By experiencing God’s power in my life, I decided to follow Jesus. In Christ, I am full of happiness and peace.” She knew how to be with Jesus—and she also knew she needed to go. But how?
“In Christ, I am full of happiness and peace.”
Arini found her purpose by answering God’s call to become a Children’s Bible Club leader. “I believe that God has chosen me for youth ministry,” she shares. Now, she spends her days mentoring children like Momina.
When Momina and her two younger siblings joined Arini’s Bible Club, they were nervous about trying something new. But Arini welcomed them warmly and introduced them to other children. With Arini’s kindness and gentle encouragement, Momina and her siblings soon felt at home at the Bible Club. They enjoyed the team games and action songs and received much-needed guidance with their schoolwork.
With Arini’s support, Momina and her siblings all began doing better in school, with Momina becoming a standout student. The spiritual lessons also slowly took root in their hearts. Momina was the first to receive salvation, and she immediately devoted herself to praying for her family’s salvation. The family soon began attending church together, and eventually they all began following Jesus! Today, they joyfully share their testimonies with hopes of guiding others to know Jesus, too.
God called Arini to “go” by becoming a Bible Club leader, but His purpose for you will be unique to your gifts and circumstances. Remember, it’s as simple as sharing His love with others however you can, wherever you can.
