Rajinder Becomes Disciplined and Respectful
Rajinder is currently studying in the sixth grade. Despite being raised in a well-educated family, Rajinder was a mischievous, disobedient child, especially in school. His father works as a businessman and his mother is a teacher. Since both parents worked full-time, they weren’t able to provide Rajinder with the guidance and discipline he needed. So, Rajinder continued to get into trouble and fell well behind in his studies.
With no one around to supervise him, Rajinder often skipped doing his schoolwork to spend time with friends. He was stubborn and threw temper tantrums to get his own way. Rajinder’s grandparents lived with the family and tried to discipline him, but he would not listen. His behavior was the cause of great concern for the family, and they worried about his future.
One day, Rajinder’s friend invited him to join a Year-Long Children’s Bible Club. Initially, Rajinder was hesitant to go, but with no one to spend time with at home, he decided to give it a try. To his surprise, Rajinder loved the activities in the Bible Club, and it soon became the favorite “hang out” for him and his friends after school.
Rajinder’s friend also invited him to come to Sunday school with him, and Rajinder agreed. In Sunday school, Rajinder learned more about Jesus and His loving kindness and forgiveness of sins. These were all new concepts for Rajinder. The teachings from the Bible were eye-opening for Rajinder and initiated many changes in his daily life.
The more Rajinder participated in Bible Club and attended Sunday school, the more disciplined, respectful, and responsible he became. He no longer had tantrums and even started helping his grandparents with chores at home. Rajinder’s hard work in school paid off, too, as he began getting good grades on his exams. Rajinder’s parents couldn’t help but notice the huge change in their son and were overjoyed with the obedient young man he was becoming.
Seeing the change in Rajinder, his friends and family became interested in the Bible Club and attending church, too. Rajinder’s family is extremely grateful for the positive impact the Bible Club has had on him. Please pray for Rajinder and his family, that they will come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
