Tamdevi Follows God’s Calling to Serve Children
As a child, Tamdevi knew about Jesus as she went to Sunday school and church; however, her knowledge of God was in her head and not her heart. It wasn’t until she turned 20 that Jesus became real and personal to her! Hear Tamdevi’s story about how she is serving her Savior today.
When I grew up, my family believed in Jesus but never really practiced their faith with all their hearts. As a child, I was taught to fear God, and I did go to Sunday School and church, but I was just going through the motions.
As I grew older, I began watching movies that were not a good influence on me. I also developed a bad habit of using offensive language.
When I turned 20, God touched me through the story of the Samaritan woman who believed in Jesus as her Savior. That was when I decided to live my life for Him and received Him into my heart.
I am now married and have been living faithfully for God and growing spiritually in my worship. We have one daughter and a son. I promised God that if I had a son, I would dedicate him to God’s ministry.
God has placed a burden on my heart for the people perishing around me, especially women who are oppressed, so I decided to bring the Gospel to them. I am also passionate about telling children about Jesus. Since 2008, I have been working with families who are going through rough times and those who have never heard the Good News of Jesus.
We are so thankful that God has given Tamdevi the gift of working with children and that she is using her talents in a Year-Long Children’s Bible Club. Her heart for children and sharing the love of Jesus continues to make a difference in many lives… both for the children and their families. Please pray for God’s protection over Tamdevi and the children she works with daily.
