I recently heard a statistic that was extremely eye-opening to me: 94% of the world has access to Coca-Cola, but 42% of the world is unreached by the Gospel (Joshua Project).
Can you believe that? More people globally have heard of Coca-Cola than Jesus. I don’t know about you, but that really motivates me, especially as I reflect on Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross this month. We have an incredible story to share, and 42% of the world is still waiting to hear it!
Of all the places we could be working to introduce people to the Gospel, we’re in the most unreached nation of all. India is home to 2,272 people groups, and 2,041 of them (90%) are unreached. They have little or no access to a Bible, a believer, or a local body of Christ. That may seem overwhelming, but we believe that India is within reach.
Your prayers are one of the key reasons why. The Holy Spirit is changing lives as we intercede for the work God is doing in India! I love what Jesus says in Matthew 28:20 after giving the Great Commission: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” As we do this work, we are not alone. The Holy Spirit is with us, using our prayers to bring the Gospel to unreached people.
Remember the power of the Holy Spirit as you pray over India this month, as well as our Easter Match, providing the opportunity for double the children in India to hear the Good News. One by one, your prayers are being answered, lives are being changed, and the name of Jesus is being made known.
