For the 287 Million
According to UNESCO, India is home to 287 million adults who never had the chance to be educated. It’s not just academics they missed—a lack of education affects everything.
These 287 million uneducated adults are susceptible to constant sickness because they never learned to wash their hands before cooking. Getting lost in their own town because they can’t read street signs. Marrying off a young daughter because it’s one less mouth to feed while in poverty. Illiterate adults are looking for a better way of life, and Jesus has so much more in store for them.

Empowering Adults
Daily Classes
We partner with local believers in India to hold Adult Literacy Classes in some of the nation’s poorest neighborhoods. Students attend daily after work, for an entire year, to gain knowledge on everything from counting money to signing their own name to reading bus signs.
A Holistic Approach
Adult Literacy Classes go far beyond literacy itself. Students learn about their rights in society, the importance of sending their children to school, and why not to marry off their children at a young age.
Guidance for Parents
Adult Literacy Classes are life-changing for entire families! Students learn about proper prenatal care, when to take their children to the doctor, and the importance of feeding their children a balanced diet.
Spiritual Change
As students’ lives are changed physically and financially, they’re also changed spiritually as teachers pray for them and share the hope of the Gospel!
