Over the past several weeks, India has been devastated with loss caused by flooding. Come alongside the affected families by posting your prayers and praying with others.

Heavenly Father,
We lift our prayers to you. Send your Spirit to comfort families who are grieving the death of a loved one or are waiting to hear about a loved one who is still missing. We pray that families who have been displaced and have no home to return to will have the strength and the necessary resources to rebuild. We lift prayers for those who can’t get to work because roads, bridges, and buildings have been destroyed. Provide for them, as many were already struggling financially. We pray for those who lost their crops and other means of income due to the flooding. We pray for rescue workers searching for missing people and trying to reunite communities. Lord, we lift our ministry partners in prayer, too, who have a unique opportunity to demonstrate the love of Jesus at this time. Open doors for them to share the Gospel with families in desperate need of hope. In Jesus’ name, AMEN.

Father, thank you that you care enough about the nations to shake them and call them to come to you. It is heartbreaking for us to see. Would you by the power of the Holy Spirit use this sorrowful situation to bring many into your Kingdom? Please provide strength for ministry partners who may feel overwhelmed. Give them direction, resources, and opportunity to help, support, and care for those who have lost family, home, crops, and hope. Help them not to become weary in well-doing, knowing that they will reap if they do not faint. Thank you for the miraculous things you are going to do through Christ in this tragedy to bring glory to Him.

Please be with the rescuers as they search, keep them safe. Please lead them to just the right place to find the missing. Heavenly Father, you know the hurt and pain and devastation right now that so many in India are going through. I pray the people would turn to you and you alone for comfort and healing and for all their needs to be met. There is nothing to big for you. I thank you for your sovereignty in this situation. I pray that the families that are suffering right now would access your peace that surpasses all understanding and that they would cling tightly to the word and to your presence and would continue to seek your face above all else. I come up against every lie of the enemy that would try to come up against their minds about God and who He is. Send them warring angels Lord to fight on their behalf. Send them ministering angels. Send them faith filled believers to pray over them encourage them and help them with their tangible needs.
