Video Release: Monika’s Family Redemption

A few months back, our staff heard a powerful story about a 10-year-old girl whose life used to be in shambles. Her dad was an alcoholic who spent so much of the family’s income to fund his addiction that his wife had to beg neighbors for a means to provide dinner. His wife became so discouraged that she tried to end her own life—but was rescued.

Just when life seemed hopeless for this family, their daughter was invited to a Children’s Bible Club… and everything changed. She learned to pray, encouraged her mom to do the same, and they finally had hope that eventually made their fear-filled household a joyful one—even for this sweet young girl’s dad.

This 10-year-old’s name is Monika, and when we heard how God used her to change her family, we had to meet them and learn more.

So recently, we got in touch with Monika’s family to see if they would be willing to share more of their story. They allowed us to visit their home in south India, where Monika lives with her parents and her younger sister, Sinchana. After spending a few days with this family, it’s so clear that they are filled with love, joy, and laughter that only Christ can bring.

Thank you for reaching Monika and her whole family with the love of Jesus through a Children’s Bible Club.

This story is one worth sharing, and we can’t wait for you to meet Monika, Sinchana, and their parents in an all-new video being released this week. It’s a story of hope, love, and children leading the way. When you hear exactly how Jesus interfered with their struggles and put them on a new path, it will leave you amazed.

Stay tuned! It’s a story you won’t want to miss.

Through April 30, 2018, gifts given toward Children’s Bible Clubs will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to $300,000. The India’s Children 2018 Matching Challenge is a great opportunity to reach double the children who need Jesus just like Monika did—and can be introduced to His love at a Children’s Bible Club that you help provide. We can’t thank you enough for supporting the transformation of lives like Monika’s!
