Dear Praying Friends,
This June is a special month—the 11th is our 60th wedding anniversary. 60 years together, learning to be loved! Are you learning how to be loved?
We are teaching boys and girls in India how to be loved. Each summer, trained Children’s Bible Club leaders in India gather boys and girls for a 10-day experience in being loved by Jesus. In past years, we have seen many children and families respond to that love for the first time. Join us in prayer that that will be the case again this year!
In Galatians 2:20, Paul says, “I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” In saying that, he claims that two things happened to him: the first is the death of sin, and the second is new life in Christ. The first aspect means that God, through the death of Jesus, paid for all our sins. The second means that we now have a new identity—we are people loved by God the Father and are adopted children. Our identity lies not in how much money we have, not in our looks or what we do or what people say about us, but in the reality that Christ loves us so much that He lives in us so that His love flows out of us. Is this how you view yourself?
Thank you for continuing to pray for the children who are learning to see themselves as loved by God through Children’s Bible Clubs this summer.
Until India is transformed,
