I’m writing you today to share a special announcement.
It has been 15 months since Todd VanEk joined Mission India as our third President. I’m happy to report that it has been a great 15 months – exceeding our (already high) expectations!
This excites me for two reasons:
First, it is clear that Mission India is in good hands. Our Founder John DeVries and I and our entire board feel just as good – maybe better – about the transition than when we first initiated this process two years ago. We’ve seen God’s hand in this entire leadership succession plan, and we’re praising Him for that.
Second – and here’s the announcement – Todd now assumes the full responsibilities of President and CEO of Mission India. I will turn 67 this year, and with a content heart I am ready to embrace my retirement. Well … almost. I’ve agreed to stay on at Mission India in a part-time role, as Executive Advisor to Todd and the board. Mission India and the work we do in India will always have a place in my heart – so I feel incredibly blessed to stay involved. I’m looking forward to continuing to serve Mission India wherever I am able…and having a little more time to spend with my grandkids, too!
I know I speak for all of us here at Mission India when I say we are greatly blessed to have Todd on the team. His leadership, experience, and vision are a perfect fit to meet the needs of this growing organization and we are excited to see how God will use us to reach India in the years ahead. We are well-positioned to grow in our impact and effectiveness in reaching India with the Gospel.
Thank you for your prayers of support for this final phase of our transition. If you have any questions about this or Mission India’s plans for the future, don’t hesitate to get in touch!
