How Is Your Spiritual Return On Investment?

Have you ever heard someone state something so well that you said, “Wow! I wish I would have said that!”?

That happened to me earlier this year as I heard John Parker of Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, North Carolina speak. He explained how his church decides which ministries to partner with based on four criteria—or “filters.”

And you know what? This struck a chord with me because whether you’re a church or Christ-minded follower of Jesus, we all want to invest our money wisely in God’s Kingdom. But how? When? Where? And who is best to partner with?

To me, John hit the nail on the head! So, I’m excited to share his four “filters” with you in this video. (It’s well worth the 5-minute watch!) I hope you enjoy it.

These four filters for ministry partnership have been years in the making for Forest Hill Church—through prayerful development and implementation. It’s not an exhaustive list, but it’s a very good place to start. We all want to see a good return on our investment in ministry work—we genuinely want to have a great impact in the world for Christ. At Mission India, we sometimes call this SROI (Spiritual Return On Investment).

DISCLAIMER: Engaging in the Great Commission is not strictly a numerical pursuit. After all, God is the one moving in people’s hearts … and those things are His domain. But it is important for us to be good stewards with the resources He has entrusted to us.

After you watch the video, I’d really love to hear your thoughts and reactions! Post freely below!
