July 2010 Prayer & Praise for India

• We praise you, God, for literacy students from Tamil Nadu—Uma, Vanai, Saya, Lakshmi and Mamuni—who are able to read and write now and are already seeing improvements in their daily lives. We pray that their hearts will be as transformed as their minds.
• Lord, thank you for the opportunity for graduated church planters to gather at an “alumni conference” held in several regions of India recently. Their reports of continued outreach and church planting are such an encouraging reminder of the ways you are multiplying our work today!
• Father, oversee the process of translating workbooks for the Year Long Children’s Bible Clubs into ten of India’s major languages. Lord, we pray that the materials will bless each boy and girl who enrolls in these ongoing clubs.
• Thank you for the church planters who began their year of training in January, Lord Jesus. We pray that they will be encouraged and inspired to touch people in India with the love of Christ, and will reach their goal to plant two or more churches by the end of this year!
• Lord, you know that in India, a woman’s worth is rooted in having children. Many women suffer emotionally and socially when they cannot have a baby. Thank you for blessing a woman named Jema with a child after 25 years of marriage. It is a tremendous testimony to your power when a prayer for a baby is answered!
• Bring renewal and hope to literacy students in the northeastern state of Tripura, who are disappointed and discouraged due to anti-Christian activities in their village. Use the faith of the literacy teacher to encourage the students to depend on you, even when they are facing opposition.
• Your amazing love, God, captured the heart of a young boy named Juresh through a Children’s Bible Club in Bihar. Now you have made your home in the hearts of Juresh’s whole family! We praise you for bringing your transformation to each of these lives.
• Lord, thank you that the father of a Children’s Bible Club student named Ravi is joining the family at Sunday worship each week. We pray that he will be transformed by the evidence of your power and mercy at work in so many lives.
