Young girl trusts the Great Physician to heal her mother

Laxmi’s family was like most in rural India.

They were desperately poor.

Her father worked long, hard hours in the fields for little pay ... struggling to provide for his family.

But Laxmi’s mother was sick — tortured by excruciating stomach pain.

With no money for medical treatment, the family turned to their idols ... desperate to ward off the evil spirits they believed were causing this agony.

For eight years, Laxmi’s mother suffered. For eight years, they prayed to their gods for healing.

Then Laxmi began attending our Children's Bible Club. And it was there that Laxmi heard about the Great Physician, the One True Healer, Jesus Christ.

Soon Laxmi trusted Jesus as her Savior, and through her club experiences, she began learning more and more about Him.

The day came when Laxmi realized — beyond a shadow of a doubt — that only God could heal her mother ...

... and she asked the club leader to come to her house and pray for her mother’s healing.

Eight-year-old Laxmi believed God would work a miracle. And He did! As the Children's Bible Club leader began to pray, mountains moved.

Right there, Laxmi’s mother was fully healed. The pain in her stomach vanished. Laxmi’s entire family gave their lives to Jesus Christ. Today they worship and serve the one true God.

India's children are experiencing the kind of faith that heals the sick ... overcomes demons ... impacts entire families ... MOVES MOUNTAINS (1 Corinthians 13:2). And they are eager to share the Good News.
