Raysumi: A Children's Bible Club Story

Eight-year-old Raysumi does not go to school. Instead, she works all day to help support her family.

Raysumi and her family expected little joy in life. Some days there is not enough to eat, and drinking water often makes them sick. During harvest time, elephants often storm through Raysumi's village, trampling crops and destroying homes.

Raysumi's people have always sought protection from the Hindu god, Bathou, offering rice, flowers, and incense at the foot of a sizou tree - a cactus-type plant.

But for Raysumi and her family, everything changed when one of Mission India's Children's Bible Clubs came to her village.
