Believing in a miracle

Pregnant and abandoned by her husband, Sumati trusts in Christ to meet her needs

New believers are eager to declare their faith in Jesus and share the Gospel with others.

Sumati was in shock.

She was once happily married. She and her husband had one child, and she had just found out she was expecting another.

But before her child was born, Sumati’s husband deserted her.

Sumati and her parents searched for her husband, but all their efforts were futile. To this day, there has been no trace of him.

Sumati had no choice but to move in with her parents. Things went well at first, but then Sumati’s father became ill and could not make enough money to support all of them.

During these difficult times, a Mission India Church Planter visited Sumati and her family.

He read from the Word of God and encouraged them to believe in the Lord who works miracles in the lives of people who believe in Him.

Sumati started attending church every week, and she soon received Christ as her personal Savior. Despite her ongoing struggles, Sumati finally felt free from the burden of worry as she trusted Jesus to care for her needs.

Now, Sumati prays that God will work a miracle in her family’s situation.
